Barnesville Presbyterian Church is a beautiful, traditional Christian church located in Barnesville, Georgia. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church USA denomination. Our church was established in 1891 and has been located in the same building on the corner of Taylor and Main in downtown Barnesville, Georgia since 1897.
When you enter our doors, you'll be enveloped in the light shining through original nineteenth century stained glass windows and the warmth from original oak woodwork. You might find yourself breathing a sign of relief-- because you've found a church "Where Grace Abounds".
Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him. Many of the early Presbyterians in America came from England, Scotland and Ireland.
Barnesville Presbyterian is committed to providing a welcoming and nurturing environment for all who seek to deepen their faith. There are many ways for you to get involved and to truly know every other member of our congregation. Through this website, we aim to share our rich history, upcoming events, and how you can participate with our congregation.
Our congregation meets together weekly on Sundays at 11 a.m. We would love to have you join us. You can also watch live services and previously recorded worship by clicking on the Livestream link below.
Your support enables us to serve our community and share God's love with those in need.

Our Sunday services are at 11:00am.
No, there is no dress code. We welcome you to come as you are.
The most important thing to bring is yourself, but you are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert of your choice. The church provides a main dish and beverages.
Our wonderful organist, Karleen Moss, plays for the church every Sunday. We also have a fun Slow Jam Band, Resolution, that plays and sings old fashioned hymns. If you play an instrument-- or if you just want to learn how- this is a great opportunity for fellowship in song. Resolution usually practices on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. on the first floor of our Annex and performs often at the church and in the Barnesville community. Contact Mary Brannon at (706) 584-9569 for more information.
Our sanctuary and annex are available for rent for private events like weddings. We have established a policy for usage and a fee schedule. For more information, please contact us at barnesvillepres@gmail.com or by completing our contact form in the section above.
Our beautiful sanctuary looks much the same as when it was built at the end of the nineteenth century. In addtion to serving as our worship center, the sanctuary is available to rent for wedding ceremonies. Please contact barnesvillepres@gmail.com for more information.
The beautiful second floor of our annex building provides a large space for small to medium sized receptions. This is also a great place for community events and classes. An elevator is available for those that need a ride up to the second floor.
